"The Foundation 4 Orphans has changed my life in so many different ways. I began meeting every week to try and get the QU chapter up and running. I was also fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to go to Mozambique and see what all the hard work was going towards. It was life changing. Seeing the smiles on those kids faces was extremely humbling. Seeing how the simple things in life made their little faces light up. It changed my view and made me more grateful for what I have and gave me a new motivationI have now found a new passion and purpose in life, to raise awareness and let the world know how easy it is to give hundreds of children around the world a new start, and a chance to make something of themselves. As the QU chapter we put on events throughout the semester to try and raise awareness and funds to make this happen. We had the “Race for Orphans” which was our first big event as a new group on campus. It consisted of an obstacle course around campus, mimicking a spartan type race, that was open to students and staff! It was very successful for a first event and we had received a lot of positive feedback! We plan to hold ice cream movie nights, challenges featured on social media and we look forward to making the race an annual thing! I think about the children every day and getting involved with F4O was the best decision I have ever made. It is extremely rewarding." - Jordan Cowan, F4O Chapter President 2019-2020
